How to Prepare PRP with
DPG Tubes

Preparing platelet-rich plasma with DPG PRP tubes is a straightforward process when you follow the correct steps. This guide gives an overview for practitioners. Always follow the official Instructions for Use supplied with the product, as the exact protocol applies to your specific preparation.

Brief Summary of Method

Refer to the IFU for detailed instructions.

Five preparation steps

Step 1. Collect the blood.

Draw blood into the DPG PRP tube following your standard collection procedure. The tube contains anticoagulant to preserve the sample during preparation.

Step 2. Load the centrifuge.

Place the tubes in the centrifuge, balanced correctly.

Step 3. Spin.

Centrifuge the tubes for approximately five minutes at 1700 RCF.

Step 4. Separation.

The gel separator forms a barrier between the red blood cells and the plasma, leaving the platelet-rich plasma above the gel ready for extraction.

Step 5. Extract the PRP.

Carefully draw off the platelet-rich plasma layer.
